Congratulations to Aileen Arenson on being appointed as an International Theater on Ice Judge. This is a great honor for her and her service is very much appreciated by our Club.

Congratulations to California Theater on Ice for winning first place at the Theater on Ice competition in France.
Congratulations to April Vanaria. She competed at the Pre-Preliminary level in the Jackson Hole Invitational Competition, March 15-18. She placed 3rd in both the Compulsory and Free Skate events.
Congratulations to Tatyana Gebert and Alexis Randolph for their achievements in the Adult Sectionals. Tatyana took 1st Place in Adult Pre-Bronze Ladies III & IV, and Alexis took 2nd Place in the Masters Novice Ladies competition.
Roberta Young has just been granted her Junior Competition appointment for Single and Pairs.
 
Important News
Regionals Policy Correction
An important Regionals correction has been made on the policy regarding skaters’ music at all regional championships. CDs are the ONLY acceptable form of media at regional championships. Both CDs and mini discs will be accepted at the 2007 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
 
Changes from the Governing Council Meeting in May
Several items were approved which affect tests.
  1. Dance patterns for preliminary through bronze were reduced to 2 (two). This became effective immediately at the close of Governing Council.
  2. Effective September 2, the passing averages for the adult & masters compulsory dances will change. New judging forms will be E-mailed to all test chairs and posted online the week of August 28.
  3. Effective September 2, the requirements for free dance tests will change. New judging forms will be E-mailed to all test chairs and posted online the week of August 28.
  4. The cut off date for regional registration now varies depending on whether a skater registers by mail (August 25) or online (September 1). September 1 is still the test deadline and if tests are taken after August 25, entries must be completed online or mailed via overnight service.
